A Remote Area Surcharge (RAS) is applied to shipments delivered to or picked up from locations that are outside our standard delivery network. These areas require additional resources, specialized transportation, or extended transit routes to reach, resulting in higher operational costs.
The surcharge applies when either the origin or destination of a shipment falls within a designated remote area. The charge is assessed per shipment and is in addition to the standard shipping rate.
